Speaking club

Conversation Arabic

A speaking club, not a lecture. Spend every session talking in real, everyday Arabic — in small groups of 8, on campus in Santa Monica or live online.

Overview

Just talk — with real support

Conversation Arabic exists for one reason: to get you talking. Every session is a guided discussion in spoken dialect around real topics — daily life, travel, culture, current events — with a teacher who keeps the conversation flowing and corrects you without breaking the rhythm.

Groups are capped at 8, so you speak in every session, not just listen. Your teacher notes the phrases you reach for and sends a short recap afterwards, so your everyday vocabulary grows week by week.

FAQ

Good to know

What level do I need for Conversation Arabic?
A working A2 base or above is ideal, since the club runs almost entirely in spoken Arabic. A free placement chat confirms you'll enjoy the pace.
Is there any grammar or homework?
The focus is talking. We fix grammar in the moment as it comes up, and homework is light — usually just listening or a few phrases to try before the next session.
Which dialect do you speak?
We centre on a widely-understood everyday spoken dialect for real conversation, and your teacher flags useful regional differences as they arise.
