A2 Elementary

Everyday English starts to flow. At A2 you connect phrases into short conversations about your life, your routine and your plans — still speaking-first, still in a group of 8.

Overview

What A2 Elementary means

A2 is the second CEFR level. You already know the basics; now you learn to link them together. You can describe your daily routine, talk about what you did last weekend, make simple plans, and handle short social exchanges without freezing.

Lessons introduce the past simple, near future, comparatives and everyday vocabulary — always practised out loud in pairs and small groups. Weekly written feedback keeps your progress visible and your next goal clear.

Can-do checklist

By the end of A2 you will be able to:

  • Describe your daily routine, job and free time
  • Talk about past events and future plans in simple terms
  • Handle shopping, travel and restaurant situations
  • Make and respond to invitations and suggestions
  • Write a short personal message or email
  • Understand the main point of short, clear announcements
