Weak-Spot Detection — Know Before the Exam

Students discover their weak topics during the exam — too late. Weak-Spot Detection tracks per-topic accuracy across every quiz and simulation, so gaps are visible while there's still time.

Gaps Discovered During the Exam

The exam isn't the place to realise you never understood chapter 4. By then it's too late for anything but damage control.

📚

Unfocused Revision

Without per-topic visibility, students re-read everything. The strong parts get stronger; the weak parts stay weak.

🔁

No Feedback Loop for Educators

Lecturers don't see which topics the class is collectively failing until grading day — when the semester is effectively over.

What You Get

📊

Per-Topic Accuracy

Every quiz and simulation feeds the tracker. Each topic carries a running accuracy score per student and per class.

🚩

Automatic Gap Flagging

When accuracy drops below a threshold on a topic, the student sees a flag on their dashboard and SLAtech Education proposes a targeted drill.

🎯

Targeted Drills

Instead of generic practice, the next quiz is biased toward weak topics — 5-10× more questions in the problem areas.

📧

Weekly Educator Report

Monday-morning email to the lecturer: top 5 weakest topics class-wide, list of at-risk students (opt-in), trend vs last week.

👥

Cohort View

Admin dashboard shows the whole cohort at a glance — which modules landed, which didn't. Feedback for course redesign.

Frequently Asked Questions

Accuracy improves with more data. After 2-3 quizzes per topic it's reliable enough to act on. We show confidence levels on the dashboard, so you don't over-trust a single data point.

A quiz biased toward the student's weak topics — same format as regular Quiz Mode but weighted. A 10-question drill might include 6-7 questions on the weakest topic, 2-3 on the next weakest.

With opt-in enabled — useful for academic-advising programmes. Default mode is aggregate by topic. Privacy-respecting by design.

Accuracy below a threshold you configure (default 60%) over a minimum sample size (default 5 questions). Both values are tunable per course.

Not directly — Weak-Spot data is formative, not graded. It's intended for the learning loop, not the record of assessment. Export to CSV is available if you want to pair it with gradebook data manually.
